The interior reflects a western contemporary / modern restaurant design. The current trend in the West is generally a pared down aesthetic with touches of Mid century design. We have created an understated and simple space with “old” elements such as the reclaimed parquet flooring, glazed tiling and old lincrusta paper to the ceiling. The timber screens to the kitchen and the shopfront have been designed to appear old, using: reclaimed oak, traditional proportions, mouldings, antique reeded glass and traditional signwriting.
Mother of pearl tables with polished brass edges and old cast iron metal bases evoke a diner feel but with a high quality and modern twist. The furniture and lighting reflects a mid century design using pale grey fabric with simple upholstery, enamelled pendants and antique spotlights and wall lights. The chairs and high stools are retro.
