Prior to the refurbishment in 2007, the previous operation was outdated, lacking identity and the lower level was under utilized. We opened out the ground floor to provide visual and aural connections between the two floor levels.
Further, a glass floor was introduced to maximise the interaction. Inspiration was taken from successful New York bars which resulted in a chic urban interior. As a chameleon style of operation, the design needed to cater for all types of clientele: coffee mornings, business meetings, post work drinks or a lively late nights out. This was achieved through controlled lighting systems and adaptable furniture.
